Dr. Belinda Holmes
Obstetrician & Gynaecologist | Medical Advisor, June Health | B.Med.Sci. MBBS. M. Surg.FRANZCOG

I am a dedicated, focused, and driven Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, recently returning from two years in Oxford, UK, where I completed a gynaecology fellowship in Benign Abdominal Surgery (Open and Laparoscopic) at the John Radcliffe Hospital. During my time there, I also worked on the senior tier of the busy on-call obstetrics roster, gaining invaluable experience in high-pressure environments.
I now hold a public appointment at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH), where I work across both obstetrics and gynaecology services. In addition to being a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), I also hold an Associate Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (AFRACMA). I am passionate about change management and leadership, particularly in advocating for the representation and support of women and the LGBTQI+ community in healthcare.
My journey into medicine was shaped by a diverse background. I studied postgraduate medicine at the University of Sydney and completed my specialist training at RNSH before advancing my expertise in Oxford. Before entering medicine, I earned a degree in aeronautical engineering and worked in investment banking and aircraft financing. This broad experience has given me a deep appreciation for medicine as the privileged career that it is.
I grew up in Sydney and love travelling, trying new restaurants, and playing sport in my spare time.
